I am an overachieving scumbag who judges people's worth by their intelligence and success in life.

My father is a neurosurgeon, my mother is a nurse, both have their PhDs. I am currently enrolled in Stanford as Biochemistry major. Now, on to why I am a scumbag.
I believe that people are only worth as much as what they achieve in their lives. To start off: I was not born rich. I am Asian and my parents came from Asia as immigrants and worked their way up to where they are now. I, surprisingly, had a normal childhood; one filled with birthdays, a SNES, Playstation, N64, friends and all those things a normal kid should have. I was never beaten to do better in school nor did my parents ever try to instill the "You must make Ancestor Chang Pang proud!" mentality.

But I started to develop this idea in the fifth grade that people who achieve nothing in their lives are worthless and are probably better off dead. The reason I say this is because when I was younger, I used to have friends with parents who were deadbeats and did nothing to help society. From that point on, I made sure to always achieve and try my hardest; to make sure that when I have kids, they won't talk to their friends and say things like "All my dad does is drink...he doesn't do much, really." and also, I wanted to always try my best so that when people looked at me, they would say "Hey, isn't that the kid who won the Inter-Scholastic Spelling Bee, Geography Bee and the Chess League?" (Yes, those are also part of my achievements).

I mentioned earlier that I graduated third in my class even though I had a GPA higher than 4.0. Unsurprisingly enough, most of the people in the top 20 of our graduating class were all my close friends. One thing that I confess as to why I am a scumbag is that I only associate myself with people who are as smart or smarter than me.
And of course, this type of mindset brings on opinions of the "lower" population.

First off, I think people who are on welfare, especially those who do nothing to improve their lives and just take the welfare money every month and settle only for that, should die. I am not racist, but I know the statistics and I know that a large portion of the black population are on welfare. And I also know a large portion of the black population is lazy and do nothing to improve their way of lives. This does not help society at all. I believe people who are of no use to society should either be forced to work, be cut off from welfare, or simply die.

Secondly, people who use the argument that the race of a person is a factor to success and the primary reason as to why I have been successful in school and in life is because I am Asian. First, I would say that I somewhat agree, as I have many white friends who had grades below mine yet ended up going to Ivy League schools. But second and most importantly, race is not a factor for laziness.
It doesn't matter what race you are: if you are lazy, you will never be successful. I have many black friends who came from poor families who did better than my black friends who came from affluent families.

Third, I think people who only use their success to help better themselves are scum. The reason why I am in biochemistry is that I want to help the general population by hopefully finding new discoveries that could reduce common problems that plague our society such as obesity, AIDS, cancer and other problems such as vitamin deficiency.
As I mentioned earlier, my dad is a neurosurgeon and my mom is a nurse. They are my role models and ever since I found out what they did for a living, I have always wanted to be like them; to help people in need.

I know some people will say "If you don't interact with people who are not as smart as you, why are you on this website?"...well, simply put: Smart people love porn also. And the reason why I am posting this on here is because of the anonymity and there are no repercussions as to say, posting this on my blog or on Facebook. Also, just to clear up a few things: no, I am not rich. My family lives comfortably, but you have to realize that having parents with PhDs who also studied and graduated from top schools, we are probably close to about $500,000 in school debt combined, and more will be piling up because I too will be going for doctoral studies.

This article is not dergndiag all families that are single or broken, it is just simply stating a fact that the optimal family is one that has a mother and a father in a loving relationship with each other and their children. Don't go telling me that children of broken families do not wish that their parents were still together, or that their mother or father treated them better, or that their mother or father did not die when they were young, or that adopted children do not wish at some stage in their lives to find out about their biological families. It is their birthright which they did not recieve through no fault of their own, but does that mean we should willingly wish this upon generations yet to be born through advocating homosexual families. So, in support of this article, we do not want children to continue to miss out on a mother and father because the governments of this generation legislated that it was ok to let gay couples raise them as their own, knowing that they would be denied their birthright of a family combination of mother and father. Yes, there is such a thing as community role models, but how is this the same as knowing your own mother or your own father and being raised and influenced by them? The truth is that you are influenced the most in life by your own family and the way you were raised. I know gay couples are already allowed to adopt children, but we need to look at the bigger picture, for the benefit of our society and future generations. We cannot let marriage be normalised as anything goes, if it's love then it should be for anyone what ever the gender. It has been trashed by plenty of hetrosexual couples (ie Britany Spears, Hugh Heffner, your next door neighbour!), but in its true and honourable sense, it is meant for a man and woman to become mother and father and raise children. This is the ideal and we need to strive for this. It is what is best for society.
