@simply_kitten not that I dislike flattery, au contraire, but in this case, I think it is @Alouqua who deserves most credit... 😉

@Alouqua you certainly are right, 'padding' would have been a better description than 'cushion'... at any rate, I agree with everything you said and your assessment that there were professionals at work, and I am sure that @simply_kitten, such as myself, knows to appreciate your insight into the matter... 😉

@bslsk it is actually more painful in the short run but much safer and prevents injury and long term damage. The other thing i notice is what looks like black vet wrap on the bar at the T against her spine. This was very well thought out with long term safety in mind.

@bslsk t's a very firm mat. Like a piece of gym matting. It is protecting her spine and the base of her head from pressure damage that could happen on the bare floor. But it has been sized to sit between her shoulders so the edges of her shoulder sink down past it, increasing the effective forward push on her head. This forces her head forward more and her chin lower on her chest. Increasing the stretch and pressure but also making breathing slightly less obstructed.

@bslsk ok, i know you said this to @simply_kitten and i try not to jump in to other people's conversations....but i saw that pad as well. It's a very firm mat. Like a piece of gym matting.

@simply_kitten I think, this is one of those cases where the angle from which the scene is shot could make it look rougher than it is... if I am not mistaken, there seems to be a cushion below her shoulder blades, and probably head too, and you do not need to be the world's greatest contortionist to be able to place your head between your knees... still, I feel with you in that this position is likely easier to bear when you still are young and nimble...

@Alouqua well... I said 'intriguing' not 'extra comfy', didn't I...? 😜

but in all seriousness, I certainly agree that it is not a position suited for long term restraint... or subs who to not practice yoga on a regular basis...
