WiHood founder, Thomas F. Anglero, has been nominated for a World Technology Award for Social Entrepreneurship. In February 2010, WiHood won the "Viewer's Choice Award" at the prestigious I.E.S.E. Business School Conference on Social Entrepreneurship in Barcelona, Spain from over 500 Social Entrepreneurs around the world.
Convened by the World Technology Network in association with TIME magazine, NASDAQ, Fortune magazine, Mayo Clinic, Science magazine/AAAS, NY Academy of Sciences, and others, the Awards are presented each year to outstanding innovators in different fields of technology.
Nominees are selected on the basis of those "who are doing the innovative work of 'the greatest likely long-term significance' in their fields. They are those creating the 21st century."
