WiHood awarded "Viewers Choice Winner" at the IESE Social Entrepreneur Conference Updated: 03/01/2010
WiHood has been awarded the "Viewers Choice Winner" at the 2010 IESE Business School (Navarra) Doing Good and Doing Well Conference in Barcelona, Spain.
From over 500 global competitors, only four were chosen to be invited to the IESE conference to present their social entrepreneur company. One of the CEOs is an Ashoka Fellowship winner.
Thomas F. Anglero, founder and CEO of WiHood, presentation was selected by the attendees of the conference as the award winner. While the voting was being tabulated, a panel of prestigious partners from Venture Capital firms in the US and London critiqued the companies on investment potential.
WiHood received the highest acclaim from the Venture Capitalist and was told that "it was an excellent investment candidate". The critique contained more praise then criticism.
This award further increases WiHood's credibility towards its seeking of funding from philanthropist/venture philanthropist and new projects with corporations and international aid organizations.
